TWG Financial Services began as a family business founded by husband-and-wife team Calvin and Kerrie. Since then, TWG has grown into a trusted nationwide business, proudly supporting clients throughout New Zealand.
While the business has grown, our approach hasn’t changed. We believe good financial advice should be personal, straightforward and built around what matters most to you. Our team is committed to building long-term relationships with our clients and providing quality advice that helps protect their families, businesses and financial futures.

Calvin Twigg
Director & Principal Financial Adviser
With more than 11 years of experience in the financial services industry, Calvin has built a reputation for providing trusted, straightforward advice that helps individuals, families, and business owners protect their financial future.
Since establishing TWG Financial Services, Calvin has grown the business into one of the Bay of Plenty's leading independent risk advisory firms, supporting thousands of clients across New Zealand. His expertise spans life insurance, health insurance, trauma cover, income protection, ACC, business insurance, and succession planning, with a strong focus on creating tailored solutions that evolve as clients' lives change.
Calvin is passionate about building lasting relationships and believes great financial advice goes beyond policies, for him it is about giving people confidence, security, and peace of mind when they need it most.
Outside the office, Calvin is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He serves on several local boards and actively supports initiatives that strengthen the Bay of Plenty. Through TWG Financial Services, Calvin and his team proudly support local schools, sporting clubs, and community organisations, while regularly fundraising and contributing to charitable causes, including Gumboot Friday and other local initiatives.
A proud family man, Calvin lives in Papamoa with his wife Kerrie and their two children. When he's not working with clients or supporting the community, you'll find him out on the water, hunting, fishing, wakeboarding, or spending quality time with his family.
Michael Devine
Financial Adviser
Michael Devine is our Christchurch-based Financial Adviser, servicing clients throughout the South Island. With more than 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Michael has built a reputation for providing trusted, personalised advice and helping clients protect what matters most.
Michael began his career as a Prudential agent in 1982, following in the footsteps of his father. Since then, he has worked with leading insurers, independent consultancies, and successfully established his own business, Michael Devine Insurance. His extensive industry knowledge and genuine commitment to his clients have earned him the trust of generations of New Zealand families and business owners.
Michael is proud to be part of the team at TWG Financial Services, working for one of New Zealand's leading independent risk advisory firms. He specialises in life insurance, health insurance, trauma cover, income protection, and business risk insurance, providing tailored solutions that give individuals, families, and business owners confidence and financial security.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, keeping active through swimming and regular gym sessions, and is often found catching up with friends at his local café.
Kerrie Twigg
Financial Adviser
With over eight years of experience in the insurance industry, Kerrie is passionate about helping individuals, families, and business owners protect what matters most by providing personalised advice and exceptional client service.
Known for her caring and approachable nature, Kerrie takes the time to understand each client's unique circumstances and works closely with them to develop insurance solutions that provide confidence and peace of mind.
Outside of her role at TWG Financial Services, Kerrie is a devoted mom of two and cherishes family time above all else. Like her husband Kerrie loves the great outdoors if she is not on the sidelines cheering on her children at sports you will usually find her walking up a mountain or on a family bike ride somewhere in our beautiful New Zealand.
A big believer giving back to the community, Kerrie actively supports a number of local charities and organisations and serves as Vice President of a local charitable conference that provides essential support to people in need throughout the community.
Kerrie is proud to be part of building the TWG Financial Services team, where she is dedicated to building lasting relationships and helping clients achieve greater financial security.
Catherine Jones
Adviser Support
Catherine brings over 10 years of insurance industry experience, with a background in relationship management and claims assessment. Her extensive knowledge of insurance and commitment to exceptional service make her a valued member of the TWG Financial Services team.
She grew up rurally on farm in the Waikato and is a proud, dedicated mother of two beautiful children. In her spare time, she enjoys reformer pilates, art, biking and spending quality time with her family.
Catherine is a passionate about providing excellent customer service and aims to ensure a smooth client journey. She will work with our Advisors to assist in operational efficiency and will be a first point of call for you.
